Holy Communion is an act of worship that all believers of Jesus are invited to be a part of. We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday. Please join us in communion even if Abounding Joy is not your home church.

Kids ages 3 through 6th Grade are invited to Sunday School and Adults and older students are invited to a Bible Study in the Fellowship Hall.
Everyone is welcome to join in the Fellowship Hall after service for coffee and refreshments!
FAQ
As with visiting any new place, visiting a new church for the first time can cause a lot of anxiety: What should I wear? Where do my kids go? What is the service going to be like? Here are some frequently asked questions to help ease those anxieties and make your visit as comfortable as we can. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

What's the service like?: We worship on Sunday at 10:00 AM. Our service is also livestreamed at ajlcmc.org and reposted later on in the week. Our services are approximately 65-70 minutes in length, and our order of worship is a traditional style that includes a blend of hymns and praise songs for music. We do stand occasionally during service. Song lyrics and congregational responses are projected on large screens at the front of the sanctuary.
What should I wear?: We want you to feel comfortable in worshiping with us, so feel free to wear what you are comfortable in. Our worshipers wear dress clothes, jeans, and t-shirts, so it is completely acceptable to wear what you want; we are interested in welcoming you as you are!
What happens when I enter the building?: We will greet you! We aim to be very friendly because we want you to feel welcome. We have a team of people at each door who will extend the doors to welcome the moment you arrive. We also have ushers located outside our sanctuary doors to hand you a bulletin and greet you in for worship.
Is there coffee?: We are Lutherans and we enjoy our coffee! We always have a pot of coffee and other hot beverages ready for your enjoyment on Sunday mornings.
What about kids?: We love kids at Abounding Joy! We are glad to have generations experiencing worship together as a faith community where children know they belong and faith is nurtured. Families are encouraged to worship together during our services. With that in mind, we also have two additional spaces available for parents of little ones during worship: a kid's table (located right outside the glass doors to our sanctuary, where kids can quietly express their artistic abilities while parents can still participate in worship) and an unstaffed young child space (located down the hall by our restrooms that features toys to play with and a TV with our service displayed for parents).
